"Dora and the Lost City of Gold": Animated vs. live-action characters

Writer: Florey DM

As a kid who grew up watching "Dora the Explorer" cartoon series in the early to mid-2000s, getting to play the titular character in the live-action movie adaptation is a dream come true for young actress Isabela Moner! The 18-year-old will be seen on the big screen soon, leading the cast of "Dora and the Lost City of Gold", which features quite a sprinkling of prominent stars (e.g. Benicio del Toro voices the adorable antagonist, Swiper the Fox). Before catching it in cinemas, let's take a look at how closely the live-action characters resemble their animated counterparts.

Here's Isabela Moner playing the live-action version of the adventurous title character.

And of course, this is the original animated version that the young actress actually grew up watching!

Did you know that Jeff Wahlberg, who plays cousin Diego (middle, tall guy), is the nephew of Mark Wahlberg?
(He's never worked with his uncle but Isabela has worked with Mark in
"Instant Family" and "Transformers: The Last Knight").
