16 Jan – Paramount Pictures is ready to be back in business with Christopher McQuarrie for two upcoming "Mission: Impossible" movies.
The movies are set to be shot back-to-back and released not far apart from each other in order to take advantage of the franchise's popularity, says Variety.
The first movie is slated to hit the big screen in summer 2021 and the second in summer 2022.
This is also to avoid conflict with Paramount's new venture with Tom Cruise in 2020, "Top Gun: Maverick".
The "Mission Impossible" star recently took to Twitter to announce his involvement in the upcoming movies, simply stating the release dates, while director McQuarrie confirmed his own return with the post: "Missions: Accepted #MissionImpossible"
