Looks like Batman is pondering whether he should join forces with Thor.
7 Jan – Though forever etched in comic book fans' mind as Batman, Christian Bale hasn't played any superhero role since his last stint as the titular caped crusader in 2012's "The Dark Knight Rises".
He's in fact steered clear of film franchises since then but looks like he will be making a comeback in one soon, and it's no small fry at that as the one he's currently eyeing is part of the world-conquering Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that Bale is circling a role in the upcoming "Thor: Love and Thunder".
Which role exactly? No word on that yet. Even if Bale agreed to take it on, his role might never be revealed until the movie premieres, given MCU's tendencies to let Mjolnir guard most of their contents, so to speak.
Though Bale previously played Batman in Christopher Nolan's 2005-2012 trilogy, he might not even be playing a superhero role in the fourth "Thor" movie.

At the moment, what's known about the upcoming instalment of the "Thor" franchise is Chris Hemsworth will be reprising his role as the titular God of Thunder, Natalie Portman will be returning, this time as both Jane Foster and Mighty Thor, and Taika Waititi will be directing.
We'll probably hear more of Bale's role when the movie starts filming this August or when it opens in cinemas in November 2021.
At the moment, Bale is cruising along on the success of his latest movie, the James Mangold-helmed "Ford v Ferrari". He's so far earned four Best Actor nominations for his role in the movie, including Golden Globes and the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
