30 Nov – In less than two weeks since cinemas in Cambodia resumed operations, a third round of closure has now been announced, commencing from today, 30 November.

Legend Cinema is the first to announce the reclosure on its Facebook page, stating that all its locations will be temporarily closed from now until further notice.

This is done to ensure the health and safety of everyone and to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Kingdom.

Meanwhile, Prime Cineplex stated that its Cambodian location will be closed for two weeks as of today.

Major Cineplex and Sarayandet Cinema have yet to make any announcement at the time of writing. As for Barayandet Cinema, it is expected to continue business as usual for now as it has recently updated its movie showtimes for today.

Cambodia faced a second round of temporary cinema closure earlier this month from 9 November, followed by the reopening on 19 November. Prior to that, the first round of closure, which was the longest, started from 18 March, until the Ministry of Health allowed cinemas to open again on 8 August.
