6 Sep – It looks like there could be movie number two for Ben Affleck's 2016 sleeper action-thriller hit, "The Accountant".
This was recently revealed by its director Gavin O'Connor, who said that he is closing a deal on a sequel of the said movie when asked about his other Ben Affleck flick, "The Way Back".
"There will not be a Way Back sequel, but we are doing an Accountant sequel. We literally just closed that deal," he said. "I've always wanted to do three because what, the second one's going to be more with - we're going to integrate his brother into the story. So there'll be more screen time for Bernthal in the second one."
As for the hypothetical third movie, O'Connor stated that it would be described as 'Rain Man on steroids.'
"The third movie is going to be the two brothers, this odd couple. The third one is going be a buddy picture," he added.
However, the director made no mention as to whether both Affleck's co-star Jon Bernthal and Anna Kendrick will reprise their roles in the sequel as well, or when the project will begin filming.
"The Accountant" stars Affleck as Chris Wolff, a forensic accountant who makes a living as a freelance accountant for a dangerous criminal organisation.
