11 Oct – If there is one thing that Madonna has regretted, it's not starring in that questionable movie, "Swept Away", but rejecting to be a part of one of the best science fiction films of all time - "The Matrix".
Speaking to Jimmy Fallon on "The Tonight Show", the legendary pop star stated that "a teeny-tiny" part of her regrets that moment in her life when she turned down the offer for a role in the Wachowskis' film. The Material Girl did not mention which role it was.
"Can you believe that? I wanted to kill myself. That's like one of the best movies ever made," she said.
The first "Matrix" movie, starring Keanu Reeves, made USD 465.3 million at the box office and spawned two more sequels. The fourth film is set to be released in December this year.
In the same interview, Madonna also revealed that she has also turned down playing Catwoman in "Batman Returns" - with the character then made famous by Michelle Pfeiffer, as well as a leading role in "Showgirls".
