The Vatican Tapes

When a mysterious video tape is accidentally leaked, everything turns wrong as the tape reveals the awry and twisted Vatican exorcism of 27-year-old Angela Holmes. She was an ordinary girl who began to have a devastating effect on anyone close to her, causing serious injury and death. The local priest, Father Lozano, examined Holmes and believed she was possessed, but when Vicar Imani and Cardinal Bruun were called from the Vatican to exorcise the demon, it proved to be an ancient satanic force more powerful than they imagined.

The Good, the Bad and the Good vs Evil:

• Just another exorcism film from a tired genre with nothing new to offer.

• The film starts off really slow but gets better once you get to the second half.

• Though the film is predictable, it is slightly different from the typical found footage horror film.

• The only good point about this movie is its surprising ending.

Trivia:

• The screenplay for this film was featured in the 2009 The Black List, a list of the "most liked" unmade scripts of the year where filmmakers find great material to make films.
